Ironbank is a seven storey development being built for Samson Corporation on a site running from K Road to Cross St on the edge of Auckland’s CBD. (150-154 Karangahape Rd through to Cross St). The new development,  has an offbeat K Rd façade and buildings on the downhill Cross St side will have a shipping-container look to them, stacked unevenly. Ironbank is Ecologically Sustainably Designed (ESD) and when complete, it will be submitted to the New Zealand Green Building Council for a targeted 5 Green star as-built rating. The project has been recognized with a Commendation award in the 2008 MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Awards.

The 1659m² site will have:

938m² of retail, 3855m² of office space, 320m² of plaza & internal areas & 222m² of through-site link (for which there’s a floorspace bonus), for a total gross floor area of 7131m²
